How to delete Instagram Account
If you’re planning to leave Instagram for good, you can permanently delete your account in just a few easy steps.
Delete Instagram Account from Mobile App:
- Open the Instagram app and head to your profile.
- Tap the three lines (☰) in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings & privacy.
- Tap on Accounts Center.
- Choose Personal details, then go to Account ownership and control.
- Tap Deactivation or deletion.
- Pick the account you want to remove, then select Delete account.
- Tap Continue, enter your password, and confirm to complete the process.
Delete Instagram Account from Laptop/PC
- Visit the official Instagram deletion page.
- Log in if you’re not already.
- Choose a reason for deletion from the list.
- Re-enter your password.
- Click “Delete [your username]” to confirm.
